Overview

We manufactured two hyperbaric chambers for a valued client working with a US-based end user. The hyperbaric chambers will be used in the medical industry for patient oxygen therapy. The plate steel for the chambers was sourced locally in Australia, with the beams sourced internationally to ASME specifications.

The project took nine months to complete, with various sub-assemblies being performed concurrently to the chambers, which minimised distortion due to the significant amount of welding.  The chambers were partially fitted out with electrical, plumbing and control instrumentation at our facility before dispatch for their final fit-out and commissioning in the US.

Our scope of work included:

  • Fabrication, including stress relieving
  • Hydrotesting
  • Painting
  • Onsite testing
  • Loading for transportation
